GENETIC CODING vzw

Objectives

Genetic Coding, set up in 1981 as a Belgian association and recently transformed to vzw *, has a goal to promote the theoretical study and the practical application of genetic coding in human sign systems, i.e. the study of the process of meaning and its application in communication. She promotes to this end the research and the applications of genetic signs and sign systems in both sciences and arts.

The association strives for universal synthesis by integration of acoustic, visual, motorial and other means of expression and by breaking up existing cultural separations. By setting up cooperation bonds and group projects they promote national and international cultural cooperation, to show the possibilities of genetic coding and to develop universal applications of genetic coding.

The association wants to make this expertise available for commercial and cultural institutions which occupy themselves with all forms of design and audio/visual communication. For that reason the establishment of a commercial form is examined with the name City or 8 which will specialize itself in professional scientific consultancy & training concerning design semantics, emotional design, cross-cultural imaging language for industrial design, interior and architecture design, advertising, products and company ID.
